Department of Zoology

UGC SAP
The University Grants Commission selected department of Zoology for SAP under the DRS for a period of five years from 2007 to 2012. This has enabled to strengthen the infrastructure considerably by the addition of several modern equipments needed for molecular biology work, like amino acid analyzer, Millipore water system, Gel doc, PCR, Elisa reader, fluorescent microscope etc.

Centre for Arthropod Bioresources & Biotechnology (CABB)
Started functioning with funds received from DBT Govt. of India (project),
CSIR and University of Kerala with
Dr. D. Muraleedharan as the Director.
